Join us for Happy Hour this Thursday at the Red Lion
Who's ready for Happy Hour with the TIP? We're fresh off Chad's bachelor party in Tampa and looking to burn that experience out of our minds with plenty of booze. We'll be playing this Thursday night at the Red Lion from 7-10pm, which is good news for all you old farts who don't like to party past 10pm on a school night (me).
Just the Tip Supports Charities: What’s Your Excuse?
That's right, we're better than you. Last month, the Tip played a charity gig to support the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I'm not sure what they do exactly, but I think it involves Eastern European sex trafficking. They're against it. Anyway, we turned in a pretty solid performance with a little karma boost to boot, which always helps.
Scenes From Fighty’s Last Night in NYC
It was Fighty's last night in NYC, and once again Chad and I found ourselves riding around atop an NYC Tourist Bus, though this time everyone had their clothes on. We made a brief stop a Phebe's (site of the original Delange-a-thon) before going to some place in the Village that had sod for carpet. Chad belly danced. It was a fitting send-off, I thought.
Chad, Tino and the Gay Pride Bus Ride
In an effort to rustle up a few extra bucks, Just the Tip rented out its PA system to the Zarkana float in this year's NYC Pride Parade. Chad and Tino were on hand to control the music and make sure everyone got a sufficient dose of Steve Winwood and Madonna tunes. Our float was sandwiched somewhere between the Egyptian trannies and the Naked Indian from Wayne's World 2.
Book Your Wedding With Just the Tip
When you hire Just the Tip to play your wedding, you won't have to worry about any of nonsense that accompanies a traditional wedding band. Our show is geared toward a younger crowd, but we mix in plenty of classic rock and Motown to get the old folks up and rocking. We'll also tailor our set list to fit your preferences and mix in whatever requests you may have.

The locale chosen for Chad’s bachelor party was none other than the great state of Florida: the land of Deadbeat Dads and high-school teachers who sleep with their students. Luckily we seemed to blend right in. Unfortunately, I can’t break guy code and advertise what happened down there, but here are two quick picture highlights. After... [Read more]
